It's great to be back in Beijing

( China Daily)

Hello, my fans in China. It's really good to be back in my comfortable zone here in Beijing because I always have good results (final in 2009 and title in 2011) here and the fan support is amazing.

I am really impressed to see so many fans gathering even outside the practice court to see me and I always do my best on court to show my appreciation in return. I guess that's why I won the WTA award of Fan Favorite Singles Player two years in a row (Radwanska earned 42.8 percent of the votes last year while China's Li Na finished second with 27 percent).

In fact, the Asia season is really tough at the end of the year and sometimes we feel tired coming here. I played eight matches in 10 days (in Seoul and Tokyo) before Beijing, changing surfaces, balls and different conditions. Every stop, I only had one day to make adjustments. But that's no excuse as a pro tennis player.

Big tournaments, like in Beijing, really push you to play 100 percent because the field is always strong. You play against good players from the first round. We just need to stay focused without thinking about how many events we have played already.

Good momentum in Asia (winning in Tokyo and Beijing in 2011 and Seoul this year) makes it special for me and I am so excited to play in new Asian cities like Wuhan, which will host the relocated Premier 5 event from Tokyo in 2014.

Maybe I will miss Tokyo a little bit but Wuhan is definitely an attractive city for me because it's the home city of Li Na, one of my friends on the tour. Li said she will take us to try exotic local food and go sightseeing.

Actually, a lot of players are friends off the court though we fight against each other on court. We usually have a lot of fun talks in the locker room about fashion, boys and vacation destinations, - even before stepping on the court for a match as opponents. Can you imagine that?

Although we try to keep the same routine at tournaments each week, one of the ways we try to do something new is change our hairstyle or color. I changed my hair to blonde earlier this year, which drew a lot of attention from my fans. But there are no stories behind it. I just wanted to feel fresh and I've changed it back to half brown and half blonde. Hope you like it as well.

Another thing I did off court, which triggered some debate, was when I posed nude for the Body Issue of ESPN Magazine (Radwanska joined US men's player John Isner as the tennis stars represented in the Body Issue).

It's all about the beauty of the bodies of the best athletes in the world. It's a sports magazine and the interview published with the photos was about tennis, injuries, diet and practice. That's what I wanted to show.

Poland's Radwanska is currently ranked No 4 in the world.
