The jail started the dragon dance drill in 2010, hoping that the traditional performance will help the imprisoned to learn to respect and cooperate with the others.

The dragon dance team performs often and is able to dance pretty well after practicing the drill twice a week under professional instructors. The officers believe the sense of achievement the performances have brought to the young prisoners will encourage them a lot and inculcate new self-confidence.
