Over the past three decades, with strong leadership from the central government and robust support from people across the nation and sister provinces and cities, the Xizang autonomous region has embarked on a new era of national unity, Xizang Broadcasting and Television Station reported.

Song Guixian is one of the aid-Xizang cadre members from the latest group of medical aid workers from Jiangsu province. He now serves as the deputy director of the People's Hospital in Chushul county of Lhasa.

Two years ago, Song made the journey from Taizhou, Jiangsu, to the plateau, driven by a commitment to provide medical aid and support to the local community.

As his initial aid term drew to a close, Song made a heartfelt decision to serve an additional term in Xizang, aiming to leverage his expertise to enhance the hospital's medical services and reach a broader segment of the local population.

Song said that aiding Xizang holds a special place in his heart and is one of the most profound experiences of his life.

"In Lhasa, I see not just a temporary stop but a transformative phase," said Song. "I have not only received the warmth and support of my colleagues but also forged enduring bonds of national unity with our Tibetan compatriots."

Twenty-nine years ago, the people of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, assisted and built four primary schools in the region's Nagchu city. Dadrak Wangdu, one of the student beneficiaries, embarked on a successful journey of pursuing knowledge and chasing dreams thanks to the aid.

Dadrak Wangdu now serves as an official at the city's No 5 Kindergarten in Nagchu. Without the support, his destiny would have been different.

"Whenever I see children sitting in spacious classrooms and enjoying the good teaching resources, I feel very grateful to those who once helped my community," he said. "The paired assistance to Xizang has strengthened the connection between Xizang and various parts of the country, promoting exchanges and integration among all ethnic groups."
