Member of the Parliament Alex Yam said Lee has left ITE College Central, where he delivered the speech, and is heading to Singapore General Hospital for a check-up.

Lee had earlier resumed his speech after taking rest about one hour. He said doctors said he was okay.

Lee suddenly took ill earlier while speaking at the rally. He was feeling unsteady because of prolonged standing, heat and dehydration and his heart is fine and he did not have a stroke, said the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in an statement.
