TOKYO - The Imperial Household Agency announced Tuesday that Princess Noriko, 25, a daughter of the late Prince Takamado, will marry Kunimaro Senge, 40, a son of the chief priest of the Izumo Taisha (Grand Shrine) in Shimane Prefecture. The wedding will take place in the autumn.

The couple attended a news conference in Tokyo after the agency made the announcement. The wedding will take place at the Izumo shrine.

The wedding will be the first involving a member of the imperial family since 2005, when Princess Sayako, the daughter of Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, got married.
