LONDON - Sixth seed Li Na of China overcame a blip in second set and rallied to beat Simona Halep 6-2, 1-6 and 6-0 to enter the third round at Wimbledon Championships on Thursday.
The world number 32 of Romania, who asked to receive a lengthy treatment after the opening set, found her pace in the next set to regain the momentum, causing the Chinese ace player to suffer most of her 14 unforced errors in total of the 85-minute match.
However, Li Na, the quarter finalist in 2006 and 2010, calmed down to break her opponent three times and win six straight games to seal the victory.
It is Li Na's first return to the last-32 of this Grand Slam event since 2010.
