Intl Association for Applied Econometrics Annual Conference kicks off at XMU

The International Association for Applied Econometrics (IAAE) Annual Conference successfully convened at Xiamen University (XMU) on June 7, marking the first time it has been held in China.
The large-scale, three-day conference featured six keynote speeches by organizers presenting the latest research findings in applied econometrics.
Additionally, 267 presenters delivered paper presentations in 69 parallel sessions. The attendees represented 26 countries and regions and included academic representatives from well-known domestic and international universities, as well as representatives from international academic research institutions and financial institutions. A total number of nearly 400 people participated.
The aim of the conference was to promote stronger exchanges between China and the world in the field of applied econometrics, jointly advance the continuous optimization of cutting-edge theories and applications in econometrics, and thoroughly explore the promotion of economic globalization, maintenance of global economic stability, and coordination of sustainable development.
In addition to pressing topics in applied econometrics theory and applications, the conference also covered hot economic issues such as machine learning, the Chinese economy, and environmental economics.
