The Fourth session of the 11th Dalian Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened at the Dalian Bangchui Island Hotel in Northeast China’s Liaoning province on Monday.
The five-day session will feature an exchange of ideas and discussions designed to offer suggestions on the important economic and social issues for the Dalian governments’ policy-making strategy, Dalian committee chairman Liu Junwen said during a work report to the conference.
Top concerns on the agenda include Dalian’s overall urbanization and its orientation as Northeast Asia’s international shipping, logistics and regional financial center, as well as the issues of modern service industry cluster development, environment protection and human welfare.
