Villagers protect crops from wild boars
Villagers head to their fields to drive away wild boars in Donglu village, Yunyang county, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, Aug 17, 2010. About 80 villagers plant corn and potatoes in the village which has suffered from wild boars for years. Villagers said there were once more than 20 wild boars damaging their crops with the biggest one weighing about 200 kg. More than 20,000 kg of crops were estimated to have been damaged each year by the wild boars. Villagers have formed patrol teams to drive away the animal by yelling, striking basins and setting off firecrackers. [Photo/Asianewsphoto]
