Shangzhuang village has been preserving ancient constructions dating back to different historic periods, from the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) and Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), to the early publican period, with the constructions covering residences, religion, sacrifices, culture and businesses. Large amounts of artistic works, such as stone carving, brick carving, wooden carving and horizontal inscribed boards are still being discovered. Many intangible cultural heritages were named as excellent examples in the fields of ancient village protection.
