The nation's "Top 10 Archaeology Discoveries" list for 2013 underwent a primary assessment, on Feb 17, with three archaeological projects in Shanxi province -- a tomb group in the town of Jinyang, a mural tomb of the Northern Dynasty (AD 386-581) in Xinzhou, and a Buddhist pavilion from the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) in Tongzi Temple on Dragon Mountain at Taiyuan -- joining the list, out of 47 across the country.
Voting on the 47 programs is open to the public, on the Chinese Relics website, at http://www.ccrnews.com.cn/, with 25 of them undergoing the next final assessment.
