QINGDAO -- Chinese sailor Guo Chuan was disturbed by little wind on the south of the Sunda Strait in his non-stop sailing around the world, according to his supporting team Monday.

The wind speed was only five knots and Guo's yacht was sailing at about two knots, but the temperature has risen to 35 Celsius degree.

"I have to wear some sun cream as I must constantly adjust the sail outside the cabin," Guo said over a satellite phone.

Besides, the autopilot of the yacht broke down last week and Guo haven't yet found the reason.

"The autopilot was linked with seven instruments and I have only checked one of them," Guo said.

The 47-year-old Guo, the first Chinese sailor to have taken part in the Clipper Round the World (2006) and the first Chinese to complete the Volvo Ocean Race (2008-2009), aims to travel 21,600 nautical miles in about 135 days, in a Class 40 boat "Qingdao", named after his hometown.
