Vice-Premier Liu Yandong said China is ready to promote the synergy of development strategies with Indonesia and boost mutually beneficial cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road in various fields.

Liu made the remarks when meeting with Indonesian Vice-President Jusuf Kalla in Jakarta, Indonesia on Monday.

Also, China is ready to strengthen communication and coordination in multilateral affairs and jointly safeguard the interests of developing countries, Liu said.

China is willing to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with Indonesia in fields such as education, technology, culture, sports, tourism and youth, and lay a solid foundation of social and public opinion for the development of the bilateral strategic partnership, Liu said.

Kalla congratulated Liu on the success of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, saying that the Party congress is of great importance not only for the future development of China, but also for the development of Indonesia and for China-Indonesia relations.

Liu said the 19th CPC National Congress has reaffirmed that China will continue to adhere to the neighborly foreign policy of upholding good neighborliness and friendship.

Also, the development of China will inject stronger power into China-Indonesia relations, Liu added.

Kalla extended appreciation for China's cooperation with Indonesia in giant panda protection. Indonesia hopes that the two countries will further promote cooperation in fields such as economy and trade, investment, infrastructure, education, science and technology, culture and tourism, Kalla said.

Strengthening strategic cooperation is in the interests of both sides and helps to promote regional peace and prosperity, Liu said.

China attaches great importance to China-Indonesia relations and is willing to work with Indonesia to fully implement important consensus of their top leaders, Liu said.
