As a cold wave swept across Central China's Hubei province, the temperature fell to just above 3 degree C from the average 15.3 degree C on Nov 22. But then it rose 12 degree C after the cold spell ended on Nov 24.
According to the city's weather bureau, winter in Wuhan city arrived on Nov 22, which meant the city had only 44 days in autumn, about 20 days shorter than three decades ago. The maximum temperature will be more than 10 degrees C in the following days, the bureau added.
