Spain's education minister visits China
Federico Moran Abad, secretary of the Spanish ministry of education, culture and sports, met with a group of Chinese students in the Instituto Cervantes in Beijing, and gave an introduction about Spain's higher education system on Sept 13.
China has benefited from educational cooperation with Spain, he said. For example, according to the agreement signed by the countries in 2007, students from China can be admitted to universities in Spain without taking the college entrance exam in Spain. China has the largest number of students in Spain from a non-EU country, he said.
There are currently about 6,000 Chinese students studying in Spain, and about 1,000 students from Spain are studying in China.
