Chinese real estate developer Jinmao Green Building Technology Co Ltd announced on Wednesday it will this year begin construction on its passive ultra-low energy consumption green buildings project.

The company, a subsidiary to listed enterprise China Jinmao Holdings Group Ltd, focuses on energy conservation of buildings, healthy residential environments and the renovation of old houses.

The company has handled about 100 million yuan ($14.5 million) in contracts since it was founded in March 2016.

Zong Ligang, deputy general manager of Jinmao Green Building, said its self-designed technological system can help green buildings realize constant temperature, humidity and oxygen content.

Air quality, lighting, sound insulation and water draining off buildings are also included, together with intelligent safeguards and property and public events management.

In the past year, the system has served 20 technological residence projects with an area of 46 million square meters.

The company also developed an intelligent energy management cloud platform, which will be further promoted in the monitoring and maintenance of the technological residences to improve efficiency and cut the cost of operation.

Former vice-minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Qiu Baoxing said the cloud platform reflects the idea of Internet Plus green buildings.

The company also will compile the technical guidance of passive ultra-low energy consumption building construction with the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, according to the Operation and Practice of Natural Eco-Cities forum organized by China Jinmao Holdings Group Ltd on March 22 in Beijing.
