On Aug 12, the Global Civilization Initiative International Youth Talk was held in Beijing. During the event, witnessed by nearly 200 youth representatives from over 120 countries, the China International Youth Exchange Center has unveiled the IP for the International Youth Pop Culture Season.

In May, the CIYEC launched a global call for IP entries for the International Youth Pop Culture Season, receiving numerous submissions from professional design teams and young enthusiasts. After careful screening and review, five trendy cartoon pandas were selected as the event's IP.

The IP features five adorable pandas, each with unique characteristics and symbolic meanings.

Travel content creator Hai Lan symbolizes the idea that "the world is like a family, and we are all like brothers and sisters"; Mangaka Mei Mei embodies the values of harmonious coexistence and the belief that "cultures flourish in diversity"; Street dancer Xin Xin conveys the spirit of continuous learning and self-improvement, emphasizing that progress is made through constant effort; Ultimate player Tian Xing represents a life attitude of perseverance and self-improvement; and Electro DJ Ruoshui is inspired by the ancient Chinese idiom "let it flow, like water benefits all things".

The designer of the IP, highlighting the contemporary value of harmony, and unity in diversity in traditional Chinese culture, takes the image of the panda, China's national treasure and an envoy of international friendship, as a medium and integrates trendy elements favored by young people.

The IP aims to tell China's story well and gather youthful energy to shape a more diverse, inclusive, and vibrant future.

Since May, the International Youth Pop Culture Season has attracted young people worldwide. In the future, the CIYEC will make further efforts to build platforms for youth exchanges across countries through various forms, including street dance, trendy toys, comics, music and markets, in a bid enhance friendships and deepen cooperation through cultural interactions and exchanges.
