The Shanghai Public Security Bureau Police Dog Technical Competition kicked off on July 10, with over 70 police dogs showcasing their skills in programs, including tracking, evidence search, blood detection, manhunt, drug detection, explosive detection and basic obedience. Zhang Guohui, a K-9 trainer, told China Daily that training a police dog is like being in a relationship, and the secret to success is to give the dog a sense of novelty all the time.
