"When I was going through her wardrobe, I photographed and archived all her clothes from the last 40 years. When doing this, I thought this should be the base for the next collection," Kronthaler said.
Finding it difficult to approach the 250 or so garments from the time they were together, Kronthaler took a random approach by drawing numbers from a hat, which determines the order in which the looks are displayed.
Based on Westwood's original pieces, he also envisioned how he would reinterpret them today and made modifications to some of them, in aspects including fabric, cut and coordination, paying tribute to Westwood's legacy and also breathing new life into the designs.
