Shanghai beer raises a cheer
In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the International Business Leaders' Advisory Council, AB InBev unveiled "Yulan Exploration", its first beer customized for Shanghai, brewed in collaboration with IBLAC.
Inspired by Shanghai's city flower, the white magnolia, the beer embodies the city's pioneering spirit and reflects AB InBev's shared mission on the city's vibrant and innovative future.
The hops utilized in "Yulan Exploration" are sourced from Budweiser China's pioneering indoor hop cultivation facility in Jinshan, Shanghai. The cultivation process leverages indoor soilless farming technology and smart agricultural practices, which minimize land, water, and fertilizer consumption while maximizing energy efficiency.
Furthermore, the beer incorporates green glutinous rice from Chongming, Shanghai, ensuring uncompromising quality and an exceptional flavor profile right from the source.
Michel Doukeris, CEO of AB InBev, attended the IBLAC for the Mayor of Shanghai for the third consecutive year on Oct 15, underscoring the company's enduring commitment to China and its shared vision to shape Shanghai into a global consumption center city with iconic branding.
"We are very focused on the long term, and the long-term fundamentals for the China economy remain very solid. We think that consumption and the consumer economy is set for growth in China. We are very bullish about the fundamentals of premiumization, high quality growth, and development of the Chinese economy," Doukeris said.
