French pastry store opens in Beijing
French master pastry chef Christophe Adam brought his renowned pastry store L'Eclair de Genie from Paris to Beijing this month.
L'Eclair conquered the picky palettes of French aristocrats and became the iconic classical French pastry as soon as it was first appeared in the 19th century.
Adam's version of eclairs has become a representative of this kind and he founded L'Eclair de Genie in 2012 which soon became the most well-known creator of eclairs in France, with followers around the globe.
At the Beijing branch, a special jasmine flavor has been created for Chinese customers which uses high quality jasmine tea from Fuzhou, Fujian province, to add the jasmine flavor to the filling.
According to Adam, he is making sure the flavor of his dessert stays the same in all his stores across the globe, whether in Paris or in Beijing.
