The International UFO Museum and Research Center
Situated in Roswell, New Mexico, USA, the International UFO Museum and Research Center is largely focused on the 1947 Roswell UFO Crash as well as other UFO phenomena in the United States and elsewhere.
The museum was founded in 1991 as a nonprofit educational organization and opened to visitors in the following fall. Located in a barely furnished former movie theatre from the 1930s, the museum, with an extensive library and exhibits on the history of UFO encounters, can be a paradise for UFO enthusiasts and extraterrestrial aficionados.
Museum exhibits include information on the Roswell Incident, crop circles, UFO sightings, Area 51, ancient astronauts and abductions. A majority of visitors make a point to come to Roswell to visit the museum and to be in the city where the best-known UFO incident occurred. Many come numerous times and some spend days or even weeks doing research in the library.
